This article just popped up on the macrumors site: VMWare On Mac OSX Coming?. Due to my connections to VMware, I’m pretty excited to see this kind of news circulating in the public press. I haven’t tried out parallels yet, but it would be great to see some full blown versions of some of the VMware products for the Mac(tel) platform. Dual-booting in Windows and OSX, and tri-booting into OSX, Windows, and Linux is great, but being able to run Windows and Linux machine images in the Mac OS would obviously be much better for Mac users. I’ve always used Virtual-PC in the past, but it has historically been incredibly slow and buggy for me. VMware’s concept of Virtual Appliances is also pretty interesting — check it out here.
